I can’t thank you enough for your generous outpouring of support yesterday. Peppa and Mr. Bean have a wonderful UV sun shade heading their way. We also have four others coming as well. Our goal is to have one hanging on every corner of our paddocks so that all our furry friends can have a ready source of shade over this long hot summer. We are 8 shy of that goal thanks to you 💕🐗#peppapig #mrbean #pigs #notonthemenu #supportyourlocalrescue #garnseysferalacres

Got a rare sighting of the legendary water cat in it’s natural habitat 😇#feralcat #adoptdontshop #cat #onelifeatatime #garnseysferalacres

Another amazing event for the team at Feral Acres last night at the General Brown science fair. A huge turnout and Chuck was front and center showcasing his mobile chair for the crowd.#ittakesavillage #supportyourlocalrescue #ducks #onelifeatatime #garnseysferalacres

When tank wants to stay up and watch a movie with dad, but doesn’t like the scary parts 😂#pitbull #dontbullymybreed #adoptdontshop #garnseysferalacres

I don’t think you have to two arms and legs to be family 💕🦮🐕#dogsofinstagram #greatpyrenees #pitbull #dontbullymybreed #adoptdontshop #garnseysferalacres

Do these look like the faces of dogs that want to go outside today dad?😂#greatpyrenees #pitbull #dontbullymybreed #adoptdontshop #garnseysferalacres

Finally getting around to organizing my work bench in the boathouse. Now where did I put that cat?😂😻#cats #feralcat #adoptdontshop #onelifeatatime #garnseysferalacres

If you ever want to participate in a really effective team building exercise, I highly recommend helping to trim the hooves of a pair of mules that have spent time in a kill pen. It’s much more exciting than trust falls ❤️#mules #onelifeatatime #donkey #ifnotmethenwho #supportyourlocalrescue #garnseysferalacres

Who’s to say what they are really thinking? But to me, it feels like love ❤️ #jackrussellterrier #pitbull #dontbullymybreed #adoptdontshop #animaltherapies #garnseysferalacres

My good babies , Tank and Major, are making sure dad follows doctors orders and does absolutely nothing 😇 Even though our wonderful volunteers are already busily feeding our furry friends breakfast. #friendsofthefarm #supportyourlocalrescue #garnseysferalacres #recovering

Home at last! After my discharge was delayed by another day, I thought it best if I waited until I was actually back at the farm to post any more updates to avoid confusion. I’m so grateful to all our wonderful volunteers for ensuring that every single animal was cared for and loved while I was away. Our amazing volunteer coordinator has developed a watchbill for the days I’ll be on bed rest so that nothing will fall through the cracks. My heart is full, much fuller than my lungs 🫁😂 for the outpouring of love and encouragement from all over the world. I’m truly a lucky man 🥰#youvegotafriend #friendsofthefarm #supportyourlocalrescue #ittakesavillage #garnseysferalacres #graditude

What has two thumbs and is going home today? This guy 😎
The chest tube was removed yesterday, and it appears my lung is staying inflated. The hardest thing about going home will be not jumping right back in where I left off, so to speak 😂 But thanks to the most wonderful group of friends who volunteer to spell me for a while, I will be able to ensure this lung is good for the long haul. #alittlehelpfrommyfriends #volenteer #manyhandsmakelightwork #supportyourlocalrescue #garnseysferalacres

One of the most important things to have if you’re thinking about having a rescue, is a great group of volunteers. You never know when the unexpected is going to happen, but eventually it will. Having folks who can step in at a moment’s notice will allow you to sleep at night knowing your furry friends are taken care of. Yesterday I took a serious fall on the farm and was having trouble breathing. Luckily I had someone close enough to recognize I needed to go to the hospital. After a very long night, this morning I have a chest tube in and a collapsed lung. On a scale of one to Holly cow, the pain is unbelievable. But while I get back on my feet, a wonderful group of volunteers is taking care of every need my furry friends may have. #volenteerwork #friendsofthefarm #garnseysferalacres

Pinky is realizing that sometimes inviting your 100 bird friends inside to hang out , has some unexpected consequences 😂#pigs #notonthemenu #garnseysferalacres

Goose Willis is taking his long awaited first swim of the season 💕#geese #changingseasons #garnseysferalacres

FOOD!!! Our 10 cows eat roughly 15 round bales per month. At about $35 per bale that’s $525 per month for just our cows. Feeding our babies is the largest single expense we have, and only continues to grow. Click the link below and consider making a donation today, our babies tummies will thank you!!
